What’s the future of Samsung’s lineup of tablets? Rumors are swirling that Samsung will be releasing new versions of its Galaxy Tab S line of tablets in the near future, and they may even introduce a brand-new Ultra model with a large 14.6-inch display and slim bezels. If true, this could put it in direct competition with Apple’s iPad Pro, which has an 11-inch display and 9.7-inch display model to choose from. Here’s what we know about Samsung’s upcoming tablet lineup so far.
Samsung’s Past Tablets
Samsung has been a major player in the tablet space for years, and its devices have evolved over time to add more power, longer battery life, and higher screen resolutions. Even so, it has always relied on full-size tablets with 10 inches or larger screens. The trend might be changing soon: according to VentureBeat, Samsung could debut a new lineup of tablets at IFA 2018 that includes an Ultra model with a 15.6-inch display and a notch cutout for your camera and sensors.

How Big Will the Screen Be?
We know that tech companies are always on the hunt for new technology, but would you believe that Samsung is already planning for 2022? Apparently, that’s when Samsung may release its next tablet — one with a screen so big it’ll wrap around both sides of your hand! So just how big could it be? If rumors are true, pretty darn big: about 0.4 inches bigger than last year’s model and roughly 0.02 inches larger than an iPad Mini 3 — making it incredibly easy to hold in one hand and comically bulky if you try using two hands at once!
What Kind of Notch Will It Have?
The next smartphone from Samsung could feature two notches on its screen – one for its front camera and another for its in-display fingerprint sensor. If that sounds ridiculous, don’t worry: it is. While we’ve already seen multiple notch concepts for smartphones with dual front cameras, such as what Vivo showed off.
